Adelaide Crows CEO Andrew Fagan denies Brett Burton\u2019s absence from the panel that will select the club\u2019s next coach<\/a> means his position as football manager is under threat as the club undergoes an external review.<\/h3>\n

Fagan has told the FIVEAA sports show:<\/p>\n

\u201cIt would be wrong to draw the connection. They\u2019re two separate process that are running concurrently\u2026 I hope both will be finalised over the next two to three weeks\u2026<\/p>\n

\u201cHe certainly will support the process. He\u2019ll do some work behind the scenes\u2026 we also thought given we did have a review in place that not just Brett, anyone from the football department in particular, probably best to remove themselves from the panel itself.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

FIVEAA\u2019s Stephen Rowe said he found it \u201cstrange that your football manager\u2019s not on that panel\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe didn\u2019t push back because he understands the integrity of the review process, which is separate to that,\u201d Fagan said. \u201cHe understands that\u2019s important and wouldn\u2019t want too many questions asked and wouldn\u2019t want it becoming a distraction from the job the panel has to do.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
