Warren Tredrea has questioned the possible inclusion of Adelaide Crows football director Mark Ricciuto on the committee to find the club’s next coach amid “rumours” he “could step down”.

Tredders has told Stephen Rowe and Mark Bickley on the FIVEAA sports show:

“[AFC chairman Rob Chapman] said he’s going to step down in a period of time. There’s rumours around — and I don’t know whether it’s more or not — but Mark Ricciuto could step down… he’ll obviously confirm or deny those rumours.

“I’m not here to rake, but if I’m a Crows fan I’m going, all right, my footy director might not be there and my chairman’s not going to be there… why are they on the committee to pick the coach?”

“The pillars that are going to support you are president and CEO and footy director — and two of the three might not be there.”

BICKS: “What they would put to that is they are there now as we speak and someone has to do it. That is why they would bring in the two external people to give it some validity, you would hope.”
