Eddie told FIVEAA Breakfast on Wednesday:<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve seen it twice\u2026 a week ago we had the whole team, admin staff, in at the club and watched the Adam Goodes [film]\u2026 which was fantastic. The boys really spoke openly afterwards. It\u2019s hard to watch personally for myself just to see Adam go through what he went through.<\/p>\n
\u201cI urge everyone to watch it. I feel guilty as well not showing the support around Adam. Most of the stuff that was happening especially in the media was happening in Sydney. I haven\u2019t seen all that part of it. The stuff that was happening on the weekend, booing Adam week in and week, out that was pretty bad.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt is full on and that\u2019s why I felt so guilty.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen it\u2019s all compacted into a 70-minute film you just figure out how bad it was. It was shocking to watch. I actually got emotional the first time I watched it and I got up and spoke to the boys: \u2018This is going to happen again. We don\u2019t when, we don\u2019t know how but the support we have to show each others as brothers, as indigenous people in the AFL, we have to support each other because we can\u2019t let someone like this go through what he went through by himself again.\u2019<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019ve been through it. I\u2019ve been racially abused and it takes a toll. For someone like Adam who\u2019s the most powerful, the strongest indigenous person that I know, for that to take a toll on him — you try to stay strong but for this to happen week in, week out, you can just see on his face if you watch the documentary how much of a toll that it was taking on him each week.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
