\u201cWhat they don\u2019t see is the way that Tex leads on the field. He drives our forward line, he sets us up. On the weekend — sometimes you\u2019ve got to sacrifice your games because they\u2019ve got Hurn and Jeremy McGovern who like to mark the ball. They\u2019re number one in the AFL for intercept marks, those two.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur role was we\u2019re going to be out numbered, we\u2019re going to send an extra forward up to the stoppage\u2026 we\u2019re 5 v 6 down in our forward line. We have to round up those two and they basically do what they want in that back half.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhat Tex did, he rounded up Hurn the whole game and Jeremy McGovern. If you go back and watch the game, if you watch behind the goals footage and you watch Tex\u2019s leadership and the way he sets up our forward line it\u2019s second to none.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was all of our job but he was the one who set everything up and directing everybody. When Hurn was free Tex would just go to him. He had Schofield on him just giving him crap all game and he went to Hurn just to sacrifice his game so they don\u2019t mark the ball.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat\u2019s the part people [don\u2019t see]. I don\u2019t think Tex had a shot on goal but he played his part in not letting Hurn and McGovern mark the ball, which was fantastic. This is what we see.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
