Wines spoke on FIVEAA Breakfast about the pressure Boak was under as captain before passing the role himself and Tom Jonas:<\/p>\n
\u201cThe other thing that goes unnoticed is when we have a little hiccup not on the football field, in the wider public, it all sort of comes back onto Boaky.<\/p>\n
\u201cCoaching and how we play, the buck stops with Ken [Hinkley]. With the playing group and how disciplined we are: it stops with the captain. We have seen that take a bit of a toll on Boaky and we\u2019ve hated to see that.<\/p>\n
\u201cNow we just love to see him cleared of that and see him playing the footy that he is.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe had it for six years and it is a really increasing work load\u2026 thankfully it\u2019s shared between me and Jonas at the moment and hopefully that\u2019s for a while. I think it does take its toll on one person after that long time\u2026<\/p>\n
\u201cHe probably kept the club going when it was on its knees back in 2012\/2013. He was the one that committed, took the captain\u2019s role.<\/p>\n
\u201cHim along with Kenny and the other senior leaders have turned this club around and we\u2019re forever grateful for that. He\u2019s an unreal role model for us and we absolutely love playing with him. It\u2019s really pleasing to see the form that he\u2019s in at the moment.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
