Traffic congestion should ease as the state government moves to extend clearway times on many of Adelaide\u2019s major roads by the end of June.<\/h3>\n

Impacted roads include South Rd, Sir Donald Bradman Drive Marion Rd, Goodwood Rd, Port Rd, Unley Rd, Belair Rd, Northcote Tce, Nottage Tce, Payneham Rd, North Tce and Flinders St.<\/p>\n

Infrastructure Minister Stephan Knoll told FIVEAA Breakfast on Tuesday:<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve taken different approaches to different roads. Some are clearways just at peak times, some are clearways longer times\u2026 we take the different position depending what the local traffic situation is.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a government we have to do what works for the most amount of people. These are major thoroughfares. We\u2019re talking 50 and up to 70,000 cars a day on some of these roads.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a simple low cost measure that will help keep things flowing more smoothly.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
