Port Adelaide are planning for the possibility that star forward Charlie Dixon will not play a game this year, reports FIVEAA\u2019s Stephen Rowe.<\/h3>\n

Dixon broke his leg in Round 21 last year and was expected to be ready for Round 1 this year but suffered another setback in his ankle and had an operation last month.<\/p>\n

Now Stephen Rowe says he is hearing some troubling whispers.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe big one here — Charlie Dixon,\u201d Rowey said on the FIVEAA sports show. \u201cI\u2019m not hearing any promising reports.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s likely not to get up this year and I think Port are planning that possibility.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

According to the club\u2019s website, Dixon\u2019s return date is TBC<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The forward told AFL Tonight two weeks ago<\/a>: \u201cI literally have no return date.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m doing some physical training hopefully next week, and then build on that. I literally don\u2019t have a time frame at all and it is frustrating,” he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone is sort of asking me when am I coming back? And I literally have to tell them I don\u2019t know. It is a funny one.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am a big, heavy man and it is putting a lot of weight on my ankle and leg where I broke. It is going to take time.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
