\u201cI\u2019ve been doing contact for a couple of weeks now and Tuesday arvo I had a really good contact session with Scotty Thompson, obviously ex Crows, hard as a cat\u2019s head and he was banging me around.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
But he\u2019s still not quite ready to return to the AFL.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt feels as strong as ever,\u201d Ollie said. \u201cI probably exceeded any tackling and marking that I\u2019d have to do. It\u2019s more so the unexpected things like falling on the ground or having to roll onto your shoulder on the ground that you can\u2019t really prepare for that take a little bit of time.<\/p>\n
\u201cHopefully next week. I\u2019m ruled out for this week, there was just a little bit too much risk involved in playing still so I\u2019m on ice. I\u2019ll have a big session tomorrow to prepare me for next week.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
Thompson played 269 games for Adelaide FC and is now a Port Adelaide midfield development coach.<\/p>\n
