Premier Steven Marshall says there will be \u201cflow on effects for the South Australian economy for generations to come\u201d after Adelaide was made the headquarters of the Australian Space Agency<\/a>.<\/h3>\n

\u201cI really have been obsessed about bringing the national space agency to South Australia because I know this will create investment and the jobs that we so desperately need to get our economy back up off the mat,\u201d Mr Marshall said on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis will really turbo charge where our economy goes\u2026 and I think it will lift the overall confidence of the state. I couldn\u2019t be any happier.<\/p>\n

\u201cSouth Australia has had a great space sector for a long period of time. Going back 50 years ago we were putting satellites in space. We\u2019ve got about eight firms in South Australia already employing around 600-800 direct employees in the space sector, so we\u2019ve got a very strong base.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a massive team effort we didn\u2019t leave one stone turned unturned and this is going to have a flow on effects for the South Australian economy for generations to come. This is a great day for our state.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
