The strata corporation for the Glenelg North apartment building that lost its roof in last week\u2019s storm<\/a> has warned tenants they could be arrested if they try and return to their homes.<\/h3>\n

On Monday\u2019s FIVEAA breakfast show, David Penberthy read out an email sent to tenants last Friday, which said in part:<\/p>\n

\u201cI have also been asked to write a formal warning from the site manager. Anyone who enters the level affected by the damage will cause the site workers to discontinue work and they will report all matters to the police and you will potentially be arrested.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cThey\u2019ve threatened to have the tenants arrested,\u201d Penbo said, \u201cfor wanting to get in there and see what stuff they\u2019ve still got.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThese people, they\u2019ve been paying rent and now they\u2019re being told if you dare go in there they\u2019ll call the cops on you.<\/p>\n

\u201cTalk about an absolute PR disaster.\u201d<\/p>\n
