Port Adelaide chairman David Koch says he has \u201cno issue\u201d with Chad Wingard\u2019s manager testing the star\u2019s market value.<\/h3>\n

\u201cAll clubs — including the Crows and most AFL clubs — have players who are a year out from the end of their contract and they want to test the market,\u201d Kochie told FIVEAA on Monday.<\/p>\n

\u201cChad\u2019s manager is testing the value of Chad<\/a> and I have no issue with that at all.<\/p>\n

\u201cYes, we would love one club players\u2026 but the players have such short spans of time to earn a really decent living in football. I don\u2019t begrudge them at all for finding out what their market is.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe is a player that will be playing for us in 2019, but it\u2019s not slavery. If Chad or his manager comes and says, \u2018Look, we\u2019ve got an offer here that is too good to refuse, can we talk about it?\u2019 of course we would, that\u2019s the type of people we are.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf it\u2019s in the best interest of him and we think it\u2019s in the best interests of the club, we\u2019ll certainly consider it. That\u2019s a duty we have to the players.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n
