That\u2019s not the case in 2018 and we all live and accept that — that\u2019s probably right. It\u2019s hard to put the morality of 2018 to 30-35 years ago.<\/h3>\n\u201cIt\u2019s a long time ago. The world\u2019s changed. That was before trial by video. Video couldn\u2019t be used at tribunals either to defend someone or to prosecute someone.<\/h3>\n\u201cBecause there was vision of that offence and the VFL at the time didn\u2019t look like they were going to do anything\u2026 then eventually about a week later they decided bringing the game into disrepute was a charge that could be laid\u2026 and I got 4-5 weeks.<\/h3>\n\u201cBut in the meantime the police had stated an investigation. That\u2019s what\u2019s changed now.. these kinds of issues, police rightly say, no, the sport looks after the punishment for the offence and therefore doesn\u2019t need to be involved.<\/h3>\n\u201cIt doesn\u2019t mean the police can\u2019t be involved because you\u2019re still in the laws of the land.\u201d<\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n
