He never did it himself, but inaugural Adelaide Crows coach Graham Cornes<\/strong> says Don Pyke<\/strong>\u2019s much-discussed player stare down<\/a> was a good move.<\/p>\n

\u201cI like it,\u201d Cornesy told FIVEAA. \u201cThe first instinct is to come down ranting and raving and what happens then\u2026 the players switch off a bit.\u201d<\/h3>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t think they could win\u2026 but it\u2019s the manner in which you lose. The ball moved so freely for Melbourne without any pressure. There\u2019s no excuse for not having a crack.<\/h3>\n

\u201cI know players think they try\u2026 but somebody had to do something. The only one who really stood tall because the amount of ball that was coming down was Daniel Talia. He did some desperate things. There was no inside grunt.\u201d<\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n
