David Penberthy<\/strong> now has a case to answer in the Victorian Human Rights Commission following a complaint about a newspaper article he wrote regarding Israel Folau<\/strong>\u2019s controversial comments on same sex marriage.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe article was about freedom of speech,\u201d Penbo said on Monday\u2019s FIVEAA breakfast show. \u201cI said as much as I found Israel Folau\u2019s views repellent, I think that he is entitled to air them\u2026 but I went on to say freedom of speech is a two-way street\u2026 we have got the right to call him out as a bigot.<\/h3>\n

\u201cThe thing that troubles me is the fact the we know have a man who purely on the basis of a column in a newspaper will now be given a forum and be taken seriously by a tax payer funded entity when he\u2019s making such absurd claims that on account of an 800-word column that ran in a Sunday newspaper this man now fears that he is going to be home invaded by radical homosexuals\u2026<\/h3>\n

\u201cIf you don\u2019t like my columns, read somebody else\u2019s columns\u2026 he doesn\u2019t like the column that I wrote so he would like a different one written that he agrees with\u2026 his precious feelings have been upset.<\/h3>\n

\u201cOpinions are like bums — everyone\u2019s go one. I\u2019ve got mine, he\u2019s got his. Can\u2019t we just agree to disagree?\u201d<\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n
