Caroline Wilson<\/strong> says there is a feeling among some clubs that the AFL is going back to \u201cthe days of the VFL\u201d following a deal to keep the Grand Final at the MCG for the next 40 years<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo one wants to come out and say it because nobody wants to be seen to be raining on Gillon McLachlan\u2019s parade,\u201d Caro has told FIVEAA. \u201cIt was a very good deal, it\u2019s very rare for any government to give so much money to a privately owned stadium.\u201d<\/h3>\n

\u201cA few clubs have said to me they feel as though they\u2019re going back to the days of the VFL and it felt like a VFL announcement.<\/h3>\n

\u201cIt does seem to be that this has been forced onto the non-Victorian clubs and they feel it\u2019s a very long term deal. I don\u2019t think Gillon McLachlan wanted to do it, but I think to get the rest of the deal over the line he had to agree to it.\u201d<\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n
