Matt Crouch has come out strongly against the contentious \u2018shrugging\u2019 technique, arguably perfected by Geelong hard man Joel Selwood.<\/h3>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t like the look of guys putting their arm up to get a free kick,\u201d Crouch has told FIVEAA. \u201cThat\u2019s the one I don\u2019t like.\u201d<\/h3>\n

\u201cI think if you initially hit the guy high around the neck it\u2019s an obvious free kick. But if you get him in the arm and then he pushes the arm up which creates a high tackle, I reckon it should be play on.\u201d<\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n

But Matt\u2019s brother Brad isn\u2019t exactly on the same page.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo be honest, with Joel, I don\u2019t mind what he does,\u201d Brad said during his regular \u2018Crouch Bros\u2019 segment with Rowey and Bicks. \u201cI think a lot of time the onus is on the player to tackle him lower and hold him lower.\u201d<\/h3>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s hard to tackle, but I find as well when he does get tackled a lot of it is sometime out of the player\u2019s frustration.<\/h3>\n

\u201cBecause he\u2019s known to do it now players go at him with a more vicious intent and they end up getting him high with their frustration.\u201d<\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n
