Former partner of Nick Xenophon Jenny Low says she never wanted to speak out<\/a> about the political heavyweight after she claimed the way he treated her in private was \u201cunacceptable\u201d.<\/h3>\n

\u201cI want to make it very clear I never wanted to speak out about this,\u201d Ms Low told FIVEAA on Friday.<\/h3>\n

\u201cI was contacted by The Australian a couple of days ago who had heard a rumour of the relationship. They essentially said to me that they were going to run with a story whether I said something or not. I was forced into a position to say something because I knew this would blow up.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ms Low then went on to say Xenophon \u201cbroke\u201d her as a person.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis family never knew about me,\u201d she said.<\/h3>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s just not normal to have a seven-year relationship and for your family not to know.<\/h3>\n

\u201cHe broke me as a person. I had nobody to turn to and nobody to talk to. That was such an awful experience.\u201d<\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n
