I&#8217;ll always have Geelong in my heart.\u201d<\/h3>&#13;\n<\/blockquote>&#13;\n&#13;\n<p>On Friday, Port Adelaide list manager Chris Davies told FIVEAA Motlop\u2019s family connections to the club played a big role in the decision &#8212; Steven\u2019s older brother Daniel played at Port for six seasons and his cousin Marlon works at the club.<\/p>&#13;\n&#13;\n<blockquote>&#13;\n\t<h3>\u201cWe\u2019re rapt that Steven has decided to choose us as the club he wants to play for,\u201d Davies told FIVEAA.<\/h3>&#13;\n&#13;\n\t<h3>\u201cThese decision for the players, they\u2019re multidimensional&#8230;<\/h3>&#13;\n&#13;\n\t<h3>\u201cFinances were one component. There\u2019s no doubt that his family connection to the footy club made a difference. There\u2019s no doubt our club\u2019s commitment to Aboriginal people played a part.<\/h3>&#13;\n&#13;\n\t<h3>\u201cI\u2019m sure he\u2019s discussions with Ken and our leadership group played a part as well.
