The Salt Creek survivors are still battling with the effects of their horrific ordeal, says the reporter who interviewed them for a 60 Minutes tell all interview.<\/h3>\n

\u201cThey are as you see them — they\u2019re very pragmatic and they\u2019re still very strong — but they\u2019re also honest about the impact,\u201d Tara Brown told FIVEAA on Monday. \u201cThere is a lasting impact.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBeatriz in particular is fearful these days\u2026 she is a nurse and she works in a medical centre and sometimes she has to open up the medical centre before dawn and that freaks her out.<\/p>\n

\u201cShe hates being outside on her own in the dark. She\u2019s frightened of people, strangers — she often thinks that she\u2019s being followed.<\/p>\n

\u201cLena, too, who is such an action woman\u2026 this hasn\u2019t stopped her but she\u2019s certainly more cautious in her outlook and obviously takes what happened to her very seriously.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe marks of that are still obvious.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n
