Caroline Wilson says there were \u201cvery real\u201d issues around Ken Hinkley\u2019s future at Port Adelaide before the club\u2019s powerbrokers hammered out their differences during an intimate pow wow last weekend.<\/h3>\n

\u201cI reckon by the time that meeting broke up at the Hinkley home last Saturday, I think Ken Hinkley was staying,\u201d Caro told FIVEAA on Thursday.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have no doubt that there was an issue and clearly the Hinkleys\u2026 Donna Hinkley very much was a part of this — have some serious issues with Adelaide and David Koch.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat was very real.<\/p>\n

\u201c(But) once it was made clear to Ken and Donna that Ken would not be released from his contract — and I\u2019m not sure that Ken ever necessarily wanted that\u2026 I think the deal was pretty much agreed to over the next couple of days.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think David Koch will behave a bit differently in future — I think he accepts that.<\/p>\n

\u201cI do think that the pressure cooker life of footy in Adelaide was an issue for the Hinkleys — certainly it was last Saturday.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere were definitely issues\u2026 those issues were hammered out last Saturday morning where it was made clear to Ken and Donna that whatever happens, come what may, there was no way Port Adelaide was going to release him from that contract.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
