Ken Hinkley says there is \u201cabsolutely no doubt\u201d he will be coaching Port Adelaide in 2018.<\/h3>\n

On Monday there were reports Hinkley had asked the club to release him from his final year so he could take up the role of Gold Coast Suns coach.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat I can tell you is that I am contracted — and happily contracted — to be at Port Adelaide for the season 2018,\u201d Ken told FIVEAA on Monday afternoon, \u201cwhich means I\u2019ll be there.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

But Ken admitted he had received some \u201csome interest from outside of Port Adelaide.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s some reasons for me to think about those types of things, but there\u2019s never been any doubt in my mind that this group of players that we are in it together and we\u2019re invested together.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe feel like we\u2019re starting to get somewhere again.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

He said he was \u201chopeful\u201d of extending his deal with Port beyond 2018.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt some stage in the very near future hopefully that will take care of itself.\u201d<\/p>\n
