People fined for driving in a bus lane during the Anzac Hwy trial — now ditched by the government — are eligible to get their money back.<\/h3>\n

\u201cIt can be unpaid,\u201d Adelaide lawyer Michael Woods told Leon Byner on Thursday.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe legislation is there, it\u2019s been there for a long time. In my experience it\u2019s not utilised as often as it should be.<\/p>\n

\u201cClearly if the government have deicide it was a cautioning period\u2026 it should not have been issued.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Channel 7\u2019s Mike Smithson said he had seen one fine given to a driver during the trial period, but said it seemed \u201cunbelievable it could only be one\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt would either be none because police would have followed that instruction to the letter,\u201d he said\u2026 \u201cI\u2019m guessing they pulled over hundreds if not thousands of people over the six month trial period.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt just seems unbelievable that one person on one day would get a fine and be booked. It seems inconceivable.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
