Kane Cornes says he\u2019ll give former Port Adelaide teammate Damien Hardwick \u201ca call\u201d after the Tigers coach took aim at him over a comment made on social media.<\/h3>\n

Kane fired off a tweet during Richmond\u2019s loss to St Kilda, saying the Tigers had got ahead of themselves.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Asked after the game about the tweet, Hardwick didn\u2019t hold back.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Seriously, I\u2019d love to see Kane, I\u2019d really love to see Kane,” Hardwick said.<\/p>\n

“That\u2019s his job, he\u2019s there to write s**t comments.”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Kane told The Advertiser on Sunday<\/a>: \u201cNo one enjoys conflict. It\u2019s not nice to hear. So I will give Damien a call.\u201d<\/p>\n

Geelong premiership star Cam Mooney told Leith Forrest that he believed Hardwick\u2019s outburst was \u201cjust a frustrated coach\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think Cornesy has got anything to apologise for,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s a commentator. He\u2019s called it how he saw it and you know what he\u2019s probably right they probably did get a bit ahead of themselves.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just think that was a frustrated coach having a dig at somebody. I wouldn\u2019t worry too much about that if I was Cornesy.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think Kane\u2019s been excellent since he\u2019s come into the media. He\u2019s got a strong opinion and you\u2019re going to get whacked when you have an opinion.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople don\u2019t like what you\u2019ve got to say sometimes. I guarantee you Cornesy\u2019ll always have a job because he\u2019s got that strong opinion and that\u2019s what you need to have.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
