The Crows have a bye this week, but the players were given a training program to do in their own time.

“During the day I went across the road and did some conditioning, but I didn’t have anyone to kick the ball with, so I kind of forgot about it,” Eddie told David and Will on FIVEAA.

“Then I went, crap, I have to do some skill work because it’s in the program. So I said I might just train with Lockleys because I live right there and I go there a lot and I know a couple of the boys.

“I went to the coach, I just rocked up in the change room, knocked on a door, and the coach is like, who’s that? I walked in and he goes, ‘Oh, how you going, Ed?’

“I said, is it all right if I come and have a run with you boys? And he said, ‘Yeah, that’s perfect, mate, you can come and have a run — I’m sure the boys will be happy.’

“It was quite funny. I think it was the hardest they’ve ever trained…

“They were running laps after drills and the boys are shouting out: ‘We never do this.’

“They all lifted.”
