{"id":29865,"date":"2017-04-03T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2017-04-03T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/uncategorized\/tarte-tatin-served-with-lavender-cream\/"},"modified":"2017-04-03T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2017-04-03T00:00:00","slug":"tarte-tatin-served-with-lavender-cream","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/show\/tarte-tatin-served-with-lavender-cream\/","title":{"rendered":"Tarte Tatin served with lavender cream"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Thanks to Rilka Warbanoff and Foodland.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Serves 6<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>1 sheet frozen puff pastry defrosted<\/p>\n<p>100 grams of unsalted butter at room temperature<\/p>\n<p>4 granny smith apples peeled cored and sliced into rounds<\/p>\n<p>1 \u00bd teaspoon of cinnamon<\/p>\n<p>180 grams of castor sugar<\/p>\n<p>2 cups of cream<\/p>\n<p>3 tablespoons of castor sugar<\/p>\n<p>\u00bc teaspoon of lavender essence<\/p>\n<p><strong>Method<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Preheat oven to 250c and roll out pastry onto you kitchen bench, which has been dusted with four. Cut a circle of around 26cm prick the pastry with a fork and place on a price of greaseproof paper and then onto a plate and leave in the fridge until required.<\/p>\n<p>In a 24cm fry pan melt the butter add the sugar and cook over a low heat until it caramelizes remove form the heat.<\/p>\n<p>Arrange the apples so that each slice slightly overlaps and forms a circle and scatter with cinnamon. Put back on the heat and cook over a low heat until the apples are soft about 10 minutes. Take the pastry from the fridge cover the apples and tuck in the sides of the pastry under the apples.
