But again, because no crime was committed they had to let them go.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat they\u2019re saying to me is they haven\u2019t stolen anything, so there\u2019s nothing they can physically do.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/au\/podcast\/david-and-will\/id1167323375?mt=2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>David and Will podcast on iTunes here.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Earlier Abbi said she had first been visited by the youths about a month ago:<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThey came in and (went) directly to the table and just flick things and (shirts were) on coat hangers and so they just swipe everything with their hands, trashing (the shop),\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adelaidenow.com.au\/news\/law-order\/the-untouchables-gang-of-youths-terrorising-rundle-mall-traders\/news-story\/ff452958033471448e293d20d63462d2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">she told The Advertiser<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe last group was a group of six and they generally come in when I\u2019m on my own.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTwo guard the door. The others scatter&#8230; Then one of them starts back-chatting me, (saying) abusive things like \u2018oh you f***ing b****\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m stressed &#8212; I don\u2019t want to come to work,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>On FIVEAA breakfast, David Penberthy said the culprits, who are reportedly aged between 12 and 14, could only be blamed \u201cup to a point\u201d.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe saddest thing about it\u2026 their parents would recognise their kids from those (CCTV) images, but they couldn\u2019t give a damn. That\u2019s why they\u2019re out there on the streets in the first place. You can only blame these young people up to a point.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said at 12, kids should be \u201ccatching Pok\u00e9mons\u201d:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWhat 12-year-old just roams around on their own doing things like that?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou don\u2019t end up doing stuff like that unless you\u2019ve lived in an environment where there\u2019s no rules.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn terms of a solution\u2026 what do you do? Put them in [juvenile detention] for two years, then they come out and probably steal a car?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt makes you tear your hair out. The tabloid thing to say is lock em up!
