“Apparently that miserable so-and-so Matthew Abraham who works at the ABC has had a big crack at our beloved Jane Reilly,” Penbo said on Friday.

“Jane would have to be easily the nicest person ever to have worked in the South Australian media. She’s universally loved, and it’s for that reason that the state government has slung her a small amount of money to cover her time… to do some of the promotional work around the new Royal Adelaide Hospital.

“Picking on Jane over something like that, it’s just so stupidly cruel.

“The funniest thing about it is these two guys, Matthew Abraham and David Bevan… between them they get almost $300,00 a year in government payments — it’s called their salary.”

Penbo slammed the duo for “sitting up there in their luxurious tax-payer funded suite at Collinswood taking pot shots at Jane for having the wherewithal to get off her backside and do a bit of wholly legitimate promotional work”.

“Mathew Abraham, he’s paid $149,000 a year by the taxpayers and David Bevan — who’s the likeable one — he’s paid $134,00 a year. Talk about sitting in a glasshouse throwing rocks in the wrong direction.

“If you want to go to war with Jane Reilly you are way behind in the public relations department already because unlike you, Matt, people actually like her.”

LISTEN HERE:
