Enough is enough and that\u2019s why we\u2019re stepping up and taking charge of our energy future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/shows\/david-and-will\/state-gov-reveals-550-million-plan-to-fix-power-crisis\"><strong>On Tuesday Mr Weatherill unveiled a $550 million plan<\/strong><\/a> to fix the state\u2019s power crisis.<\/p>\n<p>Part of the plan includes giving the state\u2019s energy minister the power to direct market operator to turn generators on.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe don\u2019t think the powers will be often used, we think they\u2019ll be rarely used,\u201d Mr Weatherill said. \u201cWhat will happen is that the national energy market operator will know that we are watching and watching carefully &#8212; and that if they fail to act we will.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe truth is they were asleep at the wheel in February.
