Parliament sat through the night before voting down the state\u2019s euthanasia bill by the narrowest of margins.<\/h3>\n

A 4am vote on the bill was tied at 23 votes each way, before speaker Michael Atkinson voted it down with his casting vote.<\/p>\n

Labor\u2019s Tom Kenyon told David and Will he thought that would be the end of the euthanasia debate \u201cfor the rest of this term\u201d\u2026 but not forever.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis was the fifteenth bill, and it\u2019s the ninth euthanasia bill since I\u2019ve been in parliament, which is almost 11 years,\u201d Tom told FIVEAA brekky. \u201cThey\u2019re relatively frequent.\u201d<\/p>\n
