I think you had to move a really experienced player in [to the midfield]. That was the one area of the ground that you need improvement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Reid admitted <strong>Bryce Gibbs<\/strong> had appeared as an option only at the \u201celeventh hour\u201d and said the club\u2019s list would now grow organically through players like <strong>Harrison Wigg, Wayne Milera, Riley Knight, Charlie Cameron and Cam Ellis-Yolmen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe four or five players you mentioned, being really respectful, they\u2019re not going to be players that are going to take on blokes like <strong>Hannebery<\/strong> and <strong>Kennedy<\/strong> and the ones that really exposed you late in the year in finals,\u201d Bicks said.<\/p>\n<h3>LISTEN HERE:<\/h3>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" frameborder=\"no\" height=\"166\" scrolling=\"no\" src=\"https:\/\/w.soundcloud.com\/player\/?url=https%3A\/\/api.soundcloud.com\/tracks\/289109633&amp;color=ff5500&amp;auto_play=false&amp;hide_related=false&amp;show_comments=true&amp;show_user=true&amp;show_reposts=false\" width=\"100%\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m a bit surprised after losing <strong>Patrick Dangerfield<\/strong> last year &#8212; you look at the way the year finished off, and you were showed up with midfield depth &#8212; that you wouldn\u2019t be targeting an experienced midfielder in the trade period,\u201d Bicks said.<\/p>\n<p>Reid said Adelaide\u2019s original plan had been to go to the draft.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were pretty clear with our strategy leading into the trade period,\u201d he said. \u201cWe think there\u2019s some really good organic growth in our list\u2026 so the strategy was actually to go to the draft.
