Serves 4<\/strong><\/p>\n

Who doesn’t like a steak sandwich? Often we think we can only eat them out in restaurants. But this is perfect for cooking at home. If you feel creative you can serve this with beetroot chips. (Peel the beetroot, slice on a mandolin raw and cook in oil and salt generously).<\/p>\n

Ingredients<\/strong>

\n\t1 loaf of gluten free olive bread – sliced into 8 portions

\n\t2 porterhouse steaks – cut into minute steaks giving you 4 pieces

\n\t4 roasted red capsicums

\n\t3 tomatoes – sliced

\n\t2 red onions – sliced

\n\t1 clove garlic

\n\t‘a few’ lettuce leaves

\n\tfor spreading chilli paste<\/p>\n

Method<\/strong>

\n\tCaramelise the red onions and put to one side. In the same fry pan, quickly cook the steaks a minute on each side and then set aside.

\n\tToast the olive bread and then rub with the garlic before brushing with a little olive oil. Spread the chilli paste on 4 pieces of bread. Top with a red capsicum, the onions and tomato. Then add the cooked steak, lettuce and top with the other piece of bread.<\/p>\n
