There\u2019s been no investigation yet. Where\u2019s natural justice?\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>LISTEN HERE:<\/h3>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" frameborder=\"no\" height=\"166\" scrolling=\"no\" src=\"https:\/\/w.soundcloud.com\/player\/?url=https%3A\/\/api.soundcloud.com\/tracks\/278561854&amp;color=ff5500&amp;auto_play=false&amp;hide_related=false&amp;show_comments=true&amp;show_user=true&amp;show_reposts=false\" width=\"100%\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Premier Jay Weatherill weighed in on the incidence, saying there \u201cmust be more to it\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI must say I was surprised that these circumstances led to a charge, but I\u2019m not aware of all the information police are aware of,\u201d Mr Weatherill said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere must be more to it. It\u2019s a very serious matter, charging somebody with an offence.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s at arm\u2019s length from government. Police make these decisions obviously independently of the political process, and they don\u2019t do it lightly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI hope that if officers are just going about their ordinary work and some misadventure happens that it\u2019s not going to lead to a criminal charge. That would be an awful state of affairs.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mr Palmer said the charged ambo who had been behind the wheel had \u201cdone everything by the book\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019d had a sleep before he went on shift. He had a rest break on the drive back from Port Pirie.
