SA\u2019s Police Commissioner says he sympathises with his female employees who have spoken out about the difficulties they face in securing flexible working arrangements and says an internal review is underway.<\/h3>\n

Despite Commissioner Grant Stevens pushing for more women to join the force, the police union says it is unnecessarily hard for female police employees to secure part-time work.<\/p>\n

\u201cI do sympathise with the concerns that people have shared about the difficulties in achieving a part-time arrangement,\u201d Commissioner Stevens told FIVEAA breakfast on Thursday.<\/p>\n

\u201cSAPOL and the police union are not too far apart on our views on this.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve had the same concerns, so much so that I\u2019ve initiated a project team that are completely reviewing how we offer part-time and other flexible working arrangements,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
