{"id":30909,"date":"2016-07-01T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2016-07-01T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/uncategorized\/the-heads-that-roll-the-seats-that-hold-david-and-will-s-election-preview\/"},"modified":"2016-07-01T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2016-07-01T00:00:00","slug":"the-heads-that-roll-the-seats-that-hold-david-and-will-s-election-preview","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/show\/the-heads-that-roll-the-seats-that-hold-david-and-will-s-election-preview\/","title":{"rendered":"The heads that roll, the seats that hold \u2013 David &#038; Will\u2019s election preview"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>David and Will have laid out their 2016 election predictions on FIVEAA breakfast, forecasting a Labor leadership vote, a sacked premier and win for Malcolm Turnbull.<\/h3>\n<p>\u201cI think that Malcolm Turnbull will end up winning reasonably comfortably,\u201d David Penberthy said on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGiven the chaos that Labor presided over with all of the nonsense around the leadership, that\u2019s only one term ago.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think overridingly people would say that the Libs deserve another term and that it\u2019s too soon to go back to Labor,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<h3>LISTEN HERE:<\/h3>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" frameborder=\"no\" height=\"166\" scrolling=\"no\" src=\"https:\/\/w.soundcloud.com\/player\/?url=https%3A\/\/api.soundcloud.com\/tracks\/271653397&amp;color=ff5500&amp;auto_play=false&amp;hide_related=false&amp;show_comments=true&amp;show_user=true&amp;show_reposts=false\" width=\"100%\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3>Penbo predicts that Labor leader Bill Shorten will face a leadership challenge<\/h3>\n<p>\u201cI think that there will be an automatic challenge after the election and it will be Anthony Albanese who will nominate again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And things don\u2019t look good for Daniel Andrews, according to Penbo.<\/p>\n<h3>A premier rolled<\/h3>\n<p>\u201cI think that the first causality of tomorrow\u2019s election will be Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wouldn\u2019t be surprised if within a month of tomorrow\u2019s poll Daniel Andrews is rolled as Premier of Victoria.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He said Victorian factional bosses \u2013 including Bill Shorten himself \u2013 would be furious with the Premier\u2019s handling of a union power grab in that state.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey will be utterly disgusted with the moronic manner in which the Victorian Premier has mishandled the grab by the United Firefighters Union,\u201d Penbo said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think that is going to cost Labor any chance of picking up seats that it needed to close to knocking off Malcolm Turnbull.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>The Mayo count will be a saga<\/h3>\n<p>\u201cI think it might be getting on for 10 days until we know who has won Mayo,\u201d Penbo said. \u201cI think that is going to go on and on, the count up there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe seat of Mayo stands to gain more from free trade agreements than any other electorate in South Australia, yet it is the place where an anti-free trade candidate in Rebekha Sharkie could knock off Jamie Briggs. I think that would be bizarre if that occurred.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>Poll positions<\/h3>\n<p>Penbo said a poll showing Mark Butler would hold Port Adelaide was correct, but disputed its prediction that Kate Ellis would retain Adelaide comfortably, 53-47.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t actually believe that,\u201d Penbo said. \u201cI think the seat\u2019s going to be really close. I think that will probably be the second closest seat tomorrow night in South Australia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think that Matt Williams is going to hold Hindmarsh.
