Leigh\u2019s comments followed some heated back and forth between the pair after Leigh told Caro on Melbourne radio that \u201ceveryone\u2019s scared of you\u201d.<\/p>\n
LISTEN HERE:<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Leigh said on 3AW:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cThe power of the pen is mighty and you\u2019ve got it. That\u2019s why the AFL will always be leaking you stuff because you\u2019re a big opinion maker. You know they do. People talk to you because you are very friendly. What you are as a person is not what you are in your writing. In your media persona you are brutal. You write strong opinions, which are going to be hurtful often for the individual you are talking about.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n And then Caro fired back on Footy Classified:<\/strong><\/p>\n \u201cI didn\u2019t see it coming. I thought it was pretty offensive. I thought it was an unfair assessment of my journalism. I thought it was an inaccurate assessment of my journalism. I\u2019m not saying I\u2019m not brutal in my opinions at times.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Caro rejected Leigh\u2019s suggestion that the AFL gives her stories because they\u2019re scared of her and people tell her stories because she\u2019s nice to them.<\/p>\n \u201cI actually did find it highly offensive,\u201d she said. \u201cAt some stage we\u2019ll have a chat about it and I\u2019ll tell him what I think.<\/p>\n The barney between two FIVEAA regulars was more then Stephen Rowe could handle.<\/p>\n \u201cYou and Caro are part of our extended FIVEAA family,\u201d Rowey told Leigh, \u201cand we don\u2019t like seeing mum and dad fight.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s just a little bit awkward when you walk in and the two greats are at each other.\u201d<\/p>\nFULL LEIGH MATTHEWS INTERVIEW HERE:<\/h3>\n
