\u201cEven the productivity commission \u2013 which is quite pro free trade \u2013 says that,\u201d Dr Raynald said.<\/p>\n
She said Australia\u2019s position at the bargaining table was weak. <\/p>\n
\u201cThe situation with Australia is that we already have very low tariffs or taxes on imports, so we haven\u2019t got much to offer other governments in terms of trade agreements.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re in a fairly weak bargaining position,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
