The Advertiser reported<\/a> that Bronte Higham, 67, is blaming his terminal condition on the chemo bungle, which saw him and other patients given incorrect doses.<\/p>\n\u201cIf people fronted up and said they\u2019d made a mistake and apologised, that would have helped,\u201d Mr Higham said. \u201cNot one person has put their hand up.\u201d<\/p>\n
Fellow victim Andrew Knox told David and Will on FIVEAA Breakfast that Mr Higham had been abandoned by the system.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt would\u2019ve been better if you had a burst water main out the front,\u201d Mr Knox said. \u201cHe would\u2019ve received better treatment as far as concern and compensation was concerned.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThat would\u2019ve been pretty damn awful anyway, let alone putting his life at risk.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s been a struggle for them every step of the way and it\u2019s now just unimaginable what they\u2019re going through.<\/p>\n
\u201cEven in my position I can\u2019t comprehend what must be going through their minds every minute of the day. They\u2019ve had really no support,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
