\u201cI would never say they\u2019re tanking, obviously they\u2019re not tanking. The players are going out and trying, but this is a club that is not, in my view, prioritising winning anymore this year.<\/p>\n
\u201cTheir focus has severely, radically changed course since round two or three,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Caro said when she spoke with Fremantle CEO Steve Rossich, he did not deny \u201cthey were looking at a different priority now\u201d.<\/p>\n
Nat Fyfe is out for the year, senior players Michael Barlow and Zac Dawson have been dropped, Matthew Pavlich is being managed and Ross Lyon has said he will experiment with various game plans.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s going to be pretty weird if Fremantle finish bottom of the ladder and get a number one draft pick from where they were a year ago,\u201d Caro said.<\/p>\n
She said the club was looking at getting early draft picks for the first time in a very long time.<\/p>\n
