{"id":31126,"date":"2016-05-17T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2016-05-17T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/uncategorized\/premier-jay-weatherill-admits-we-ve-got-to-do-better-on-burst-water-mains\/"},"modified":"2016-05-17T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2016-05-17T00:00:00","slug":"premier-jay-weatherill-admits-we-ve-got-to-do-better-on-burst-water-mains","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/show\/premier-jay-weatherill-admits-we-ve-got-to-do-better-on-burst-water-mains\/","title":{"rendered":"Premier admits \u201cwe\u2019ve got to do better\u201d on burst water mains"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Premier Jay Weatherill has conceded that his government appeared to be \u201cshrugging our shoulders\u201d in the wake of a series of water main bursts and says SA Water must do better.<\/h3>\n<p>Water Minister Ian Hunter angered many when he responded to the damage done to Adelaide homes by pointing out that SA\u2019s breakdown rate is below the national average.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat he\u2019s been saying is right\u2026 but that\u2019s no good if you happen to be the person affected and it\u2019s happening to you,\u201d Mr Weatherill told David and Will on FIVEAA breakfast. \u201cYou\u2019re not too interested in the statistics.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s no comfort for people that are knee deep in water in their kitchen,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve got to do better on that. This is a public facing company.
