Labor heavyweight Anthony Albanese has accused the Liberal government of being \u201can opposition in exile\u201d after treasurer Scott Morrison adopted a number of policies he says Labor proposed.<\/h3>\n

Mr Albanese said claims of a $19.5 billion miscalculation in Labor\u2019s tobacco tax were simply Liberal diversion tactic.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe government has put this out there to hide from the fact that when we announced it they said they were against it, and last night they adopted it,\u201d he told David and Will on FIVEAA breakfast.<\/p>\n

In his budget speech on Tuesday night, treasurer Scott Morrison announced he would raise $4.7 billion over four years by raising the tax on tobacco.<\/p>\n

\u201cLike they adopted some of our changes on multinational taxation (and) some of our changes on superannuation,\u201d Mr Albanese said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey were outraged by them when we put them forward earlier this year.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a government that\u2019s an opposition in exile,\u201d Mr Albanese said. \u201cThey\u2019re acting from behind.\u201d<\/p>\n
