SA Health Minister Jack Snelling has hotly denied that he\u2019s lost control of his department after several weeks of scandal and controversy.<\/h3>\n

\u201cWell, mate, I didn\u2019t become health minister because I was looking for the quiet life,\u201d Mr Snelling told David and Will on FIVEAA breakfast.<\/p>\n

After a run of bad press that included RAH delays, an SA Pathology cover-up and friendly fire from fellow Labor politician Mark Butler of the Transforming Health blueprint, Mr Snelling said he didn\u2019t accept that he had lost control of the health department.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s never an easy time to be health minister, but we are attempting a number of very, very serious and enormous reforms.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re doing more reform at the moment in health than we would have seen in the last 50 years, and we\u2019re trying to do it all at the same time,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s no surprise you\u2019re going to come across the occasional speed hump when you\u2019re doing so much all at the same time.\u201d<\/p>\n
