Channel 7\u2019s Mike Smithson says he received a tipoff last week that the hospital would be late opening \u2013 info that turned out to be correct \u2013 but when he approached Mr Snelling\u2019s office at the time, he was told the tipoff was incorrect.<\/p>\n
Speaking with Leon Byner on FIVEAA, Mr Snelling was adamant that was not the case.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have to say I\u2019m pretty annoyed that Mike\u2019s out there saying that he was lied to, because if he was it would\u2019ve been a story last week that the minster\u2019s office has contradicted what the minister\u2019s being saying since January.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mr Snelling said he gave a press conference in January advising that the hospital would be late opening.<\/p>\n
\u201cMike seemed to be suggesting that my office denied last week that the hospital was gong to be late. That is not true, because that would be in complete contradiction to what I\u2019ve been saying for the last six weeks.<\/p>\n
