She said the current scandal was linked to Lyon\u2019s breakdown, \u201cbut I think it\u2019s brought to a head a lot of issues that have been coming for a long time\u201d.<\/p>\n
Caro revealed that in retrospect, it was apparent the Footy Classified host had been battling some serious issues.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn hindsight I can look back at some of Garry\u2019s behaviour and see that he has been pretty troubled for some time,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
But she added: \u201cI certainly didn\u2019t know about Bill Brownless\u2019 ex-wife Nicky and Garry.\u201d<\/p>\n
Caro said Lyon\u2019s indiscretion had nothing to do with football\u2019s \u201cblokey\u201d culture.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis happens to people all over the world,\u201d she said. \u201cMaybe the celebrity lifestyle might have added to that feeling that Garry was bullet proof when deep inside he knew he wasn\u2019t.\u201d<\/p>\n
She said she had been in contact with Lyon since news of the scandal broke.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere\u2019s only a small circle of people he\u2019s talking to at the moment.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe feels like he\u2019s let all of us down. He\u2019s very appreciative of the support,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
