Speaking after Adelaide\u2019s loss to West Coast on Saturday night, interim coach Scott Camporeale said he \u201ccouldn\u2019t have been prouder\u201d of his players in their first game since Phil Walsh\u2019s shock death.<\/h3>\n

\u201cWe prepared really well, I thought the guys were in really good spirits, and I couldn\u2019t have been prouder of their preparation and the way they attacked the game,\u201d Camporeale said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought we played some really good footy in patches. To the Eagles\u2019 credit they\u2019re very well drilled, very well coached. They\u2019re second on the ladder for a reason.\u201d<\/p>\n

Camporeale said leading up to the game the team had concentrated on trying to get things as normal as possible.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe players were in a pretty good headspace during the game.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe conversations we were having in the breaks were all footy related and all focused on the job,\u201d Camporeale said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was just good to get that one out of the way.\u201d<\/p>\n
