But if you know James Hird as a person\u2026 he\u2019s got a big heart.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think there\u2019s definitely time if he wanted to,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<h3>LISTEN TO DUSTIN FLETCHER HERE:<\/h3>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" frameborder=\"no\" height=\"166\" scrolling=\"no\" src=\"https:\/\/w.soundcloud.com\/player\/?url=https%3A\/\/api.soundcloud.com\/tracks\/263537510&amp;color=ff5500&amp;auto_play=false&amp;hide_related=false&amp;show_comments=true&amp;show_user=true&amp;show_reposts=false\" width=\"100%\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Fletcher, who retired at the end of 2015 but is currently serving an ASADA ban over the club&#8217;s 2012 supplements program, said he had also spoken to Jobe Watson, who Fletcher believes will return to captain Essendon.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have spoken to Jobe quite a few times. He\u2019s overseas at the moment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis person\u2019s done a lot for the club and he\u2019s been a sensational captain. He\u2019s captained me for a few years and I\u2019ve really enjoyed the way he\u2019s gone about it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fletcher said his last read of Watson was that looked to be \u201cfeeling a lot better, just in himself\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat pressure of being the captain of a side that\u2019s obviously under pressure is not on his shoulders this year and his in good nick.
