{"id":32147,"date":"2016-04-28T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2016-04-28T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/uncategorized\/adelaide-metro-apologise-for-train-chaos-during-peak-hour-2\/"},"modified":"2016-04-28T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2016-04-28T00:00:00","slug":"adelaide-metro-apologise-for-train-chaos-during-peak-hour-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/show\/adelaide-metro-apologise-for-train-chaos-during-peak-hour-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Adelaide Metro apologise for train chaos during peak hour"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>UPDATE 9:24am<\/h3>\n<p>Adelaide Metro have advised Thursday morning\u2019s power outage is also now affecting Tonsley rail services.<\/p>\n<p>EARLIER<\/p>\n<h3>Adelaide Metro have apologised for an outage on the Seaford train line during peak hour on Thursday morning, which threw city traffic into chaos.<\/h3>\n<p>Adelaide Metro spokesperson Caroline Kelly confirmed on FIVEAA breakfast that power had been shut down on the Seaford line.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are working SA Power Networks to figure out why that\u2019s happening and also working on how we can get those services back up and running those services as soon as we can,\u201d Ms Kelly told David and Will.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt this stage we have no ETA on resumption of services, but we are trying to arrange substitute buses as best we can. It\u2019s difficult as you can imagine because it\u2019s peak and most of our busses are on the road.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just want to apologise to your listeners and our customers\u2026 we\u2019re asking people were possible to seek alternative transport.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>LISTEN TO CAROLINE KELLY HERE:<\/h3>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" frameborder=\"no\" height=\"166\" scrolling=\"no\" src=\"https:\/\/w.soundcloud.com\/player\/?url=https%3A\/\/api.soundcloud.com\/tracks\/261239390&amp;color=ff5500&amp;auto_play=false&amp;hide_related=false&amp;show_comments=true&amp;show_user=true&amp;show_reposts=false\" width=\"100%\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>SA Power Networks has advised that Thursday morning\u2019s rail issues were due to \u201cinternal issues within [the] rail system\u2019s private supply network, not external electricity supply\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Adelaide Metro\u2019s Caroline Kelly asked FIVEAA listeners to \u201cplease hang in there\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are working with SA Power Networks to clear up this situation as soon as possible.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re just trying to get our heads around this as quickly as possible.
