\u201cOutside the couple of losses we\u2019ve had, I\u2019ve really enjoyed working here so far, and I think we\u2019re working towards being a better footy club.\u201d<\/p>\n
But Bassett bristled at a question from Stephen Rowe on FIVEAA about what the problem is with Port Adelaide after a slow start to the season.<\/p>\n
\u201cWell mate, I\u2019m just telling you there was a response on the weekend,\u201d Bassett said. \u201cWe responded.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cThe first quarter-and-a-half we played strong footy, and then we fell apart in two patches of footy.<\/p>\n
\u201cYou don\u2019t come out and score five goals to one against a very good Geelong team in the first quarter if you\u2019re not responding from an 86-point loss the week before,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut we don\u2019t want to be a response team. We want to be a team that plays consistently good footy.\u201d<\/p>\n
