{"id":32222,"date":"2016-04-07T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2016-04-07T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/uncategorized\/police-plan-for-paedophile-schuster-s-release-2\/"},"modified":"2016-04-07T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2016-04-07T00:00:00","slug":"police-plan-for-paedophile-schuster-s-release-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/show\/police-plan-for-paedophile-schuster-s-release-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Police plan for paedophile Schuster\u2019s release"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Commissioner Grant Stevens has sought to reassure the public that police will be on high alert in the event that paedophile Gavin Shaun Schuster is released back into the community.<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/shows\/david-and-will\/tempers-flare-over-decision-to-release-paedophile-back-into-community\">Schuster\u2019s release into a residential facility in Kilburn<\/a> was approved by a court last Friday, despite hearing evidence Schuster plans to re-offend once he\u2019s released.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe responsibility for monitoring people who are on these sorts of orders rests primarily with the Department for Correctional Services,\u201d Police Commissioner Stevens told David and Will on FIVEAA breakfast. \u201cWe work closely with Corrections to make sure that we\u2019ve got \u2013 as much as we can \u2013 all bases covered.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>LISTEN TO COMMISSIONER GRANT STEVENS HERE:<\/h3>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" frameborder=\"no\" height=\"166\" scrolling=\"no\" src=\"https:\/\/w.soundcloud.com\/player\/?url=https%3A\/\/api.soundcloud.com\/tracks\/257700619&amp;color=ff5500&amp;auto_play=false&amp;hide_related=false&amp;show_comments=true&amp;show_user=true&amp;show_reposts=false\" width=\"100%\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3>Mr Stevens said police would become involved in the event that there was a risk to public safety.<\/h3>\n<p>\u201cOur response times for what consider to be grade-one urgent priority taskings is within ten minutes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mr Stevens said in certain cases of particular notoriety \u2013 like Schuster\u2019s \u2013 other measures were put in place.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll of our local patrols, the CIB, anyone who\u2019s likely to have to respond is at a higher level of awareness.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo when we do make that call, the capacity to respond more quickly is available because people are aware of it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe put certain information out to all of our patrols.
