We need to actually have a much more positive view, and that\u2019s what I saw when I was out there launching this plan.\u201d<\/h3>\n<p>But David Penberthy rejected the Premier\u2019s comments, saying any pessimism was \u201c100 per cent your fault\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou inherited a promise from Mike Rann to create 100,000 jobs \u2013 you created 11,000 jobs. So forgive us for being pessimistic,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Weatherill said he wouldn\u2019t forgive anyone for being pessimistic.<\/p>\n<h3>LISTEN to Jay Weatherill here:<\/h3>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" frameborder=\"no\" height=\"166\" scrolling=\"no\" src=\"https:\/\/w.soundcloud.com\/player\/?url=https%3A\/\/api.soundcloud.com\/tracks\/244294152&amp;color=ff5500&amp;auto_play=false&amp;hide_related=false&amp;show_comments=true&amp;show_user=true&amp;show_reposts=false\" width=\"100%\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.premier.sa.gov.au\/images\/news_releases\/2016\/16_01January\/nepautosupplychainsupport.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">The Government&#8217;s Northern Economic Plan<\/a> was released on Thursday.<\/p>\n<h3>\u201cWe all need to join together to actually roll up our sleeves and actually make this happen,\u201d Mr Weatherill said.<\/h3>\n<p>\u201cWhen I went out to the north and launched this plan all I saw was people wanting to roll up their sleeves and actually get on and make something happen.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThen I read the paper and you would\u2019ve thought I was at a different event.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe pride and the optimism in that room where hundreds and hundreds of people from the northern suburbs said, \u2018No we\u2019re not up for grabs, we\u2019re actually going to succeed in this\u2019\u2026 was incredibly inspiring.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not going to have it talked down by people suggesting that somehow South Australia\u2019s all doom and gloom.
