{"id":32331,"date":"2016-01-25T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2016-01-25T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/uncategorized\/8-year-old-harrison-back-in-action-after-kidney-transplant-2\/"},"modified":"2016-01-25T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2016-01-25T00:00:00","slug":"8-year-old-harrison-back-in-action-after-kidney-transplant-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/show\/8-year-old-harrison-back-in-action-after-kidney-transplant-2\/","title":{"rendered":"8-year-old Harrison back in action after kidney transplant"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>FIVEAA listeners got to know eight-year-old Harrison Chilcott in 2015 before he went in for surgery to receive a kidney donated to him by his dad Brad.<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/shows\/david-and-will\/8-year-old-harrison-steals-show-on-fiveaa-breakfast\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>During that visit Harrison stole the show with his hilarious on air antics<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Now the operation is done, and Harrison and Brad paid David and Will another visit to let everyone know the surgery was a success \u2013 although it didn\u2019t go quite to plan.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"756\" width=\"1013\" class=\"media-element file-default nova-lazyload-image-wrapper lz-cont img-responsive\" src=\"https:\/\/cms.fiveaa.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/03\/screen_shot_2016-01-25_at_3.59.49_pm.png\" alt=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>\u201cThe surgery itself went really successfully,\u201d said Brad, \u201cbut then there were a number of complications after surgery.\u201d<\/h3>\n<p>\u201cHarrison ended up in intensive care for eight days, which was a fairly intense time.
